About Me

I am a holder of a Bachelor of Laws degree which I obtained Cum Laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. This degree has provided me with knowledge and skills applicable to a wide variety of industries and positions and has greatly contributed to my overall adaptability as a professional. I am currently based in Johannesburg but I am open to relocating,

On completion of my bachelor’s degree, I was immediately employed by a leading international law firm where I have gained training and experience in litigation, investigations, funds law, leveraged finance and project finance as well as employment law while working with domestic and international clients far more regularly than is typical.

I am now employed as a legal advisor of a financial services provider where my position within the company is unique in that despite being the primary legal advisor of certain departments as is the case for all our legal advisors, I also have the privilege of regularly consulting the group generally and floating between other departments and teams to provide additional expertise. I value this position as it not only allows me to stay flexible, but also to keep abreast of the general business and take ownership of the success of the group as a whole by offering my knowledge, expertise and creativity across the board. As such, I have developed skills and gained experience in areas such as tax law and accounting, insurance law and financial products, trust administration and property law as well as recruitment and process and policy development.

My hardworking and detail-oriented nature as well as my ability to perform to a high standard under pressure is also evidenced in my academic achievements. In my final year of high school, I obtained 6 Distinctions and 3 Highest Percentages out of seven subjects. At university level, I was awarded the Malegapuru W Makgoba Scholarship, awarded to the five top-ranked undergraduates proceeding to the second-year of study as well as the Vice Chancellor Scholarship, awarded for academic achievement in the third-year of study. I also obtained the Dean’s Commendation four times and was awarded three Certificates of Merit for outstanding performance to the best student in a class. I am currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree specialising in Tax Law which I expect to complete in 2026.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I have a keen interest in football, cinema, and reading non-fiction literature. Additionally, I am committed to charitable initiatives, particularly those that support children and orphanages, a cause that holds significant personal importance to me.
